Volleyball with Coach Mehan

Elevate your game with a week of volleyball skills training, team play, and fun!  Beginner and advanced players alike will benefit from this camp led by former University of Notre Dame 4-time conference champion and NCAA Division I coach, Molly Mehan.  With a strong emphasis on developing virtue through athletics, we will help the girls understand what it means to be a team player on and off the court.  

 

Volleyball I with Coach Mehan (June 17-21) is designed for girls in rising grades 8th-12th. They will receive detailed instruction in individual skills, specific positions, and team systems. 

 

Volleyball II with Coach Mehan (July 8-12) is designed for girls in rising grades 4th-8th. Players will learn the fundamentals of the game of volleyball from individual skill instruction to position and team play. 

Molly (McCarthy) Mehan coached Division I volleyball at Loyola College in Baltimore, and she has coached, taught, and mentored at the high school level as well. She places a strong emphasis on developing virtue through athletics. 

Molly played volleyball for the University of Notre Dame where she won four conference championships, including three Big East Championships, as well as three appearances in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament. She was the recipient of the Francis Patrick O’Connor Award which “honors one female…student-athlete who best displays the total embodiment of the true spirit of Notre Dame as exemplified by [her] contributions and inspirations to [her] team….[through her] caring, courage, confidence, encouragement, humility, honesty, humor, kindness and patience.” 

Molly is the mother of eight equally energetic children, including Mary Cecilia ‘25 and Bridget ‘29.
