Oakcrest Seniors Receive Impressive College Acceptances
Oakcrest is happy to announce top-notch college acceptances for the Class of 2019.
Some of the schools that Oakcrest seniors have gotten into include:
- University of Virginia
- The College of William & Mary
- Johns Hopkins University
- University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
- US Air Force Academy
- US Coast Guard Academy
- US Military Academy West Point
- University of Michigan
100% of Oakcrest students who applied Early Decision this year were accepted into their first choice.
"We congratulate each of our seniors on all of their success in completing their college admissions process and in discerning their college match," says Director of College Counseling Mary Ann Thompson. "Our thoughts are with the Class of 2019 as they finalize their college choice by May 1st and finish their last year at Oakcrest. We celebrate this milestone, and we certainly hope to hear from our graduates next year."
Oakcrest's college counseling team works to ensure that each student embarks on a journey of self-discovery while exploring university options and finding her college fit. Partnering with Oakcrest families and faculty to guide Upper School students through the college search and application process, College Counseling provides informational and practical workshops and ongoing assistance to help each student grow in self-knowledge, identify her interests, and find her best college match.
