Dr. Mary Keys to address the Class of 2023 at Commencement

Oakcrest School is pleased to welcome Mary M. Keys, Ph.D., associate professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame, as commencement speaker for the Oakcrest Class of 2023.
 
An Oakcrest alumna of the Class of 1984, Keys earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from Boston College. Her scholarly work in political theory focuses on Christianity, ethics and legal thought. Keys is the author of two books: Pride, Politics, and Humility in Augustine’s City of God (2022) and Aquinas, Aristotle, and the Promise of the Common Good (2006). She has also received various fellowships, including from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University and the University of Chicago.

The Oakcrest Class of 2023 Baccalaureate Mass and Awards Day ceremony will take place on Friday, June 2, and the graduation ceremony will be on Saturday, June 3 at 10:00 am at Oakcrest School. The award and commencement events will take place in the recently inaugurated McGowan Family Athletic Center gymnasium.

Oakcrest School provides a culture of freedom and responsibility in which young women thrive. With the graduation of the Class of 2023, the number of Oakcrest alumnae will exceed 1,000.
