Ticket Sales for Antigone Open

Ticket sales for the Upper School production of Antigone are now open. Livestreamed performances will be held on Friday, February 19 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, February 20 at 11:00 am and 7:30 pm.

The show is based on the play written by Sophocles and is translated by Ian Johnston. In this classic Greek tragedy, Antigone, the daughter of Oedipus, wishes to bury her dead brother Polyneices but is forbidden to do so by the King of Thebes. Driven by a fierce sense of justice and the conviction that the gods are on her side, Antigone defies the order and a string of tragic events ensues. Oakcrest theatre teacher Dr. Kristin O'Malley will direct this production. General admissions tickets can be purchased here and all proceeds will benefit the Oakcrest Theatre Program.

Due to state restrictions regarding COVID-19, we will not be permitted to host a live Patrons of the Arts reception. Instead, we will be streaming the performances live and providing our sponsors with a variety of exclusive benefits in recognition of their donation to the arts program. Patrons who register by Friday, February 12th will have the opportunity to receive an assortment of delectables delivered to their home in time to enjoy with the live performance.
