Oakcrest students who are inducted into honor societies all demonstrate high academic achievement, a spirit of service, and a passion for the subject.

English Honor Society

Membership in The Tolle Lege Chapter of the National English Honor Society is an honor bestowed on students in grades 10-12 who are selected by the members of the English department for their accomplishments in the field of English. Immediate benefits of affiliation will be national recognition, scholarship eligibility, and opportunities for national networking with others who share enthusiasm for and accomplishment in English.
 

Latin Honor Society

The Oakcrest Chapter of the nationally recognized Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society, affiliated with the American Classical League, recognizes Upper School students in grades 10-12 for excellence in their command of the Latin language and for their study of its literature. It seeks to acknowledge and to highlight the contributions of the ancient world.
 

Math Honor Society

Mu Alpha Theta is an organization whose purpose is to stimulate interest in mathematics by providing public recognition of superior mathematical scholarship and by promoting various mathematical activities. It is co­-sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America,
the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the American Mathematical Association of two-year colleges.
 

National Honor Society

The Oakcrest Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.  Members of the NHS are selected by a majority vote of the Faculty Council on the basis of four demonstrated qualities: scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Spanish Honor Society

Oakcrest School’s Spanish Honor Society is the Cervantino Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. The purpose of the Honor Society is to recognize student achievements in Spanish and to promote interest in Hispanic Studies. The Spanish Honor Society is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).
