Oakcrest School is preparing eagerly for the ceremonies and engagements for the Class of 2022.
The Senior Thesis presentations will take place on May 24 and May 25, 2022. Every member of the Class of 2022 will share her research on a topic she has developed throughout the year in culmination of her academic accomplishments at Oakcrest. The senior thesis has been a keystone of the Oakcrest academic curriculum for the past decade.
On June 1, Oakcrest will host the Senior Dinner, which gives the school the opportunity to celebrate with the seniors and their parents and a chance for the seniors to acknowledge and thank the faculty and mentors that have guided them throughout their Oakcrest experience.
The Baccalaureate Mass will be held at Oakcrest School on June 3, gathering the Oakcrest community to give thanks for the school year and to honor the seniors in their last school Mass.
The weekend will end with commencement on June 4, 2022 at 10am.
Molly Klote, M.D. (Meredith ‘22) will address the class as the Graduation speaker. Dr. Klote is the Chief Research and Development Officer for Enterprise Support at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to this role, Dr. Klote served as an active duty Army Colonel with 30 years of service. Dr. Klote earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from James Madison University and a Doctor of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
Oakcrest School is also pleased to announce that Rachel Fischer has been selected as Valedictorian and Cassielle “Cassie” Sweda as Salutatorian. Both students will address their peers at the graduation ceremony.
