January 28 Updates
Middle School The Middle School Basketball Green Team is now 3-2 after losing to Seton School (19-22) and defeating Langley School (25-14). Top Scorer in both games was Amal M. with 7 and 8 points respectively. They play at Congressional on Monday 1/31.
The Middle School Basketball White Team lost its first game of the season 13-20 at the Lowell School. They also play at Congressional on Monday, January 31.
Upper School On Monday, January 24, Varsity Basketball defeated Highland School 59-49. Highland is ranked 6th in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association. Elisabeth D. was our top scorer of the night with 24 points. Elisabeth needs 61 more points to become Oakcrest's first-ever player to reach 1000 career points. Natalie M. was close behind with 18 points scored. Currently, Oakcrest is ranked 11th in the VISAA 3rd round polls.
JV Basketball had a tough loss against Saint John Paul the Great High School 22-26. Rosie K. was the lead scorer of the night with 8 points and Ellie B. with 6 points.
This past weekend Oakcrest Swim participated in the Northern Virginia Catholic High School Championships. The Chargers faced tough competition at the meet.
