Academics
A liberal arts education that awakens wonder, pursues truth, and prepares students for life.
Learning how to think

At Oakcrest, the liberal arts provide an approach to learning that teaches students how to think—how to ask meaningful questions, seek truth, recognize patterns, and communicate with wisdom and clarity.
The sciences, arts, and humanities are not isolated disciplines, but interconnected ways of exploring the same reality. Seeing how order and beauty are woven throughout creation, students develop an integrated understanding of the world. They become expert investigators in every subject, valiantly pursuing truth through multiple pathways of inquiry. Learning like this is not memorization, but adventure.
There is grammar in music. There is logic in arithmetic. These subjects are not isolated—they are all connected, and they all lead us toward a better understanding of God and creation.
Teaching at an all-girls school allows me to create a learning environment where students feel confident to express their ideas, take intellectual risks, and develop leadership skills.

What the liberal arts look like in practice

Pathways of Inquiry. Pathways to Grace.

At Oakcrest, rigorous academics are about far more than achievement. They are an invitation to ask meaningful questions, seek what is true, and delight in the beauty and order of creation. Every lesson, every discussion, and every challenge becomes a pathway to grow in wisdom and discover more fully the person God created each student to be. Students are challenged to pursue excellence because it expands their capacity to think deeply, love generously, and serve faithfully.
Inquiry
the intellectual pursuit of truth.
Grace
the spiritual transformation of the person through that pursuit.
A person who knows that the world is the place where she finds Christ, loves that world. She endeavors to become properly trained, intellectually and professionally. She makes up her own mind, in full freedom, about the problems of the environment in which she moves, and she takes her own decisions in consequence.
