McGowan Family Athletic Center

A place to compete, train, learn, and grow.

The McGowan Family Athletic Center gives Oakcrest students space to pursue excellence both in the classroom and on the playing field. The 25,000-square-foot facility includes a full gymnasium, fitness center, athletic training spaces, five classrooms, and staff offices, providing room for Oakcrest’s growing academic and athletic programs.

A Gym Built for Competition

The gym features a floating wood floor designed for athlete performance and safety, along with courts and locker rooms for practices and competitions. An automated bleacher system accommodates more than 230 spectators, creating a place for the Oakcrest community to come together and cheer on the Chargers.

A Fitness Center Built for Growth

Overlooking the gym, the fitness center features Sorinex weight room equipment designed for group training, helping students build strength and fitness while reducing the risk of injury. A dedicated turf area provides space for short sprints, cardio, and individual training.

Space to Learn, Too

The Athletic Center also includes five additional classrooms and two staff offices, giving Oakcrest the academic space needed to support growing classes.
