Writing Workshop

In this one-week writing workshop, campers will "apprentice" themselves to some of the greatest writers of the Western Tradition, learning from their style and voice so as to shape and mold their own writing voices.

First, they will apprentice themselves to some of the greatest descriptive writers in the English language, including Hemingway and Dickens, and practice descriptive and creative writing.

By the end of the week, they will have mastered logical and persuasive writing under the guidance of writers such as Aquinas and Cicero.

This camp will help students become more confident writers and develop style in their writing, whether that be in the creative short stories they write for fun or in the academic essays they write in school.

Participants should bring a water bottle, snack and lunch each day.
