In this one-week program, students will learn the basics of watercolor painting through practice and imitation. This includes learning to manipulate the saturation of pigment and mix colors, basic brushstrokes, and basic washes. By the end of the camp, students will imitate a simple watercolor painting to demonstrate the skills they have developed.
Watercolor is a beautiful medium, accessible and relatively mess free. It's a wonderful skill to cultivate—watercolors make excellent gifts and are lovely additions to household décor.
Participants should bring lunch, a large water bottle and snack each day.
All materials are included in the program fee.
