Jennifer Pruskowski

Coach Pruskowski holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. It has been exciting for her to watch Oakcrest's soccer program grow from having just a Varsity team to offering Varsity, JV, and Middle School Options. 

She has experienced many great moments coaching at Oakcrest, but points to two memories that stick out as particularly great. The first: "The epic comeback," she says. "Back in 2015 we were playing Washington International School (WIS), a team we had yet to beat, and we were down 3-0 at the half. I gave a little pep talk at half time. Within one minute of the second half we had scored a goal! Then another, then another! We came back from a three-goal deficit and won the game 5-3! It was so exciting and something I will never forget." The other was winning the PVAC Championship that same year, against WIS. "It was such an incredible feeling and such a proud moment for me as a coach," Coach Pruskowski says. 

When asked what makes Oakcrest's athletics program unique, she says, "Definitely the girls! It is so rewarding to coach such a great group of girls, and watch the team grow so close throughout the season. Your teammates become like your family. You learn to trust, support, and encourage one another. Oakcrest athletics offer great opportunities for girls to develop good work ethic, sportsmanship, and leadership skills." Coach Pruskowski has also experienced the joy of Oakcrest community in other ways, such as when students from Oakcrest's Concert Chorus traveled to Philadelphia to sing at her wedding. 

In her free time, Coach Pruskowski likes to stay active, from playing soccer to working out at the gym to running, snowboarding, and just spending time outdoors. She loves traveling the world with her husband, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
