Varsity Track Team Claims First Place at PVAC Championships
Oakcrest claimed its second track championship title of the season on Wednesday night, with the Varsity Track & Field team winning the PVAC Varsity Track & Field Championships. The Chargers handily beat out the competition for a first place total of 194 points.
The meet, which was held at GallaudetUniversity from May 14-15, was an exciting two-day event that featured excellent performances from many team members. Some of the highlights include:

4x800m relay: Helen Molteni, Zoe Burke, Stephanie Murphy, Alex Murphy
4x400m relay: Hannah Lu, Stephanie Murphy, Zoe Burke, Lily James

Head Track & Field Coach Jennifer Pruskowski noted how all the students came together to contribute to the victory. She says, “It was a true team effort, as we had girls scoring points in every single event. We are very proud of our track athletes and their team performance.”
The Chargers now head to the State Championships in Richmond this Saturday.
