Oakcrest’s Director of International Programs, Carolina Agostini, recently traveled to Lima, Peru and was invited to visit sister school Colegio Salcantay. Carolina and her daughter Giorgina (‘15) were invited by Pilar García de Navarro, Head of School, to a dance festival at Colegio Salcantay celebrating Peru's Independence Day.
María Paz Esposito, a current senior at Salcantay, visited Oakcrest as an international student in January 2018. The two schools look forward to finding ways to build a partnership in the future.
Oakcrest’s International Program has a long tradition of welcoming students of all faiths and backgrounds. We value the rich diversity of cultural experience that international students bring to our school. Oakcrest has welcomed students from Chile, China, Guatemala, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Peru, The Philippines, Poland, and Spain.
This past year the International Program launched its London Exchange program with Oakcrest sister school The Laurels. Students from The Laurels visited Oakcrest for a couple weeks in October 2018 to sit in on classes and explore Washington, DC. In return, Oakcrest sent some of its students to The Laurels for eleven days in June of 2019. The Laurels will send another group of students to Oakcrest this fall.
