A Guide to Giving and Getting Involved

For 35 years, Oakcrest has built a tradition of educating young women of intellect, character, faith and leadership.  Thanks to generous benefactors and volunteers like you, Oakcrest continues to carry out this mission and tradition.

It is this spirit of giving, volunteering and being involved that helps sustain our school mission and sets Oakcrest apart from other schools.  The success of Oakcrest depends on the entire Oakcrest community: students, parents, grandparents, alumnae, past parents, faculty, staff, and benefactors.

We invite you to become involved in the life of the School and to invest in Oakcrest - invest in its mission, its traditions, its students and its future.

Events

Attending Oakcrest events is an important way of being involved in the life of the School.  The annual Oakcrest Gala is held in early fall.  A major fundraising and fellowship opportunity, the Gala is a well-loved tradition at Oakcrest.  It provides a chance to directly support the school while enjoying an elegant evening among friends and family.  The Gala is attended by parents, alumnae, friends, faculty and staff, and features an evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a live auction and a beautifully catered dinner.

Other School events include School Opening Mass and Brunch, monthly OPA Coffees, Middle School and Upper School Shows, talent show, Christmas Concert and Party, Sports Nights, Fine Arts Night, Parent Education Committee speaker series, Baccalaureate Mass, and Graduation.

Please check the official Oakcrest Calendar on the Oakcrest website for exact dates and times. We hope to see you soon!

Connect

There are many ways to connect with other members of the Oakcrest community and stay in touch with the goings-on of the School.  Visit the Oakcrest website, sign up for the “Did You Know” weekly e-newsletter (also available on the website), visit the Oakcrest blog, “Charger Chatter,” or pick up one of Oakcrest’s printed publications. Alumnae can stay connected with each other and with Oakcrest by obtaining an Alum password for the Oakcrest website by emailing Development@Oakcrest.org. Alums can also stay in touch through the Oakcrest School Alum page on Facebook.
