Character Development

Character development is an important part of an Oakcrest education. The character of a person is threefold and reflects the mind, intellect and will. At Oakcrest, participation in the monthly Character Workshops is one way in which Oakcrest students have the opportunity to exercise ethical reflection. The workshops help students to develop the cognitive side of character, fostering moral awareness plus an understanding of virtues and how to apply them in concrete situations. In addition to encouraging a deeper self-knowledge, Character Workshops also provide the opportunity to take the perspective of others and to make thoughtful moral decisions.
