What qualities are you looking for in a prospective student?
Show Answer
Hide Answer
-
Oakcrest is an independent school that seeks to educate the whole person. We have a college preparatory curriculum. The work here is challenging, so we look at all of the pieces of the application; from transcripts, to SSAT scores, to school recommendations in order to determine a good academic fit. We are also looking for students who are willing to learn and eager to grow in virtue. Young women who want to challenge themselves to reach their full intellectual potential while growing in character, faith and leadership make for great “Oakies.” Parent partnership begins during the Admission process; it is an integral part of the Oakcrest Mission.

The on-line application will not be submitted to Oakcrest until all of the information is complete. If you are unable to complete the application in one sitting, you can begin an application on-line and save it until you can return to it another time to complete the data. When submitting a hard copy, the Family Application, Parent Statement, and Candidate Statement should all be submitted together. You will print out the recommendation forms, give them to your daughter’s school and the completed forms will be sent to Oakcrest directly by the applicant’s current school. Testing results come to Oakcrest directly from the testing agent.
